How often should you service your car?

This is one of the most common questions we get asked, and the honest answer is- it depends on how much you drive.

As a general rule of thumb:

• Every 6 months or 6,000 miles: an interim service is a good idea if you cover a higher mileage, particularly in stop-start city driving conditions like Streatham’s daily traffic

What does each service actually cover?

Interim Service

Full Service 

This is the one most drivers need once a year. On top of everything in an interim service, we replace the air filter, cabin pollen filter, and spark plugs where due, inspect the exhaust system, run a full diagnostic scan for any hidden fault codes, check brake fluid condition, and carry out a thorough inspection of the suspension and steering components. You’ll leave knowing exactly what shape your car is in.

Major Service 

For vehicles hitting higher mileage or age milestones, a major service goes even deeper. We review timing belt intervals, gearbox fluid, coolant condition, and any manufacturer-specific items due at that mileage. It’s the full work and well worth it for peace of mind on an older or higher-mileage vehicle.
